About Us
Eerdmans Books for Young Readers began in 1995 as an imprint of Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, an independent, family-owned publisher in business since 1911. We seek to engage young minds with words and pictures that inform and delight, inspire and entertain. From board books for babies to picture books, nonfiction, and novels for children and young adults, our goal is to produce quality literature for a new generation of readers. We believe in books!

Our children's books from the current and preceding year are available for examination at the CBC Library at 568 Broadway, New York, NY 10012, open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Modestly priced posters, postcards, bookmarks, and other information and display items on children's books are available from the CBC. Write the CBC for further information, enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
